Setting Default Method
Designate a default payment method for automatic subscription billing. You can change the default anytime without affecting active subscriptions.
Updating Expiring Cards

Multiple Payment Methods
Store multiple payment methods for flexibility. Useful for separating personal and business expenses or having backup payment options.
Removing Payment Methods
Remove unused payment methods anytime. You cannot remove the default payment method if you have an active subscription—set a new default first.
Automatic Card Updates
When your card issuer provides updated information (new expiration date, new card number after reissue), Stripe automatically updates your payment method to prevent billing interruptions.
Billing Cycles & Charges
Subscription Billing
Subscriptions are billed automatically on your billing date each month (or year for annual plans). Your payment method is charged on the same day each period.
- • Monthly subscriptions: Charged on the same day each month
- • Annual subscriptions: Charged once per year on anniversary
- • Billing date set when you first subscribe
- • Email receipts sent immediately after successful payment
One-Time Purchases
Credit pack purchases are one-time charges processed immediately. Use any payment method on file or add a new one during checkout.
- • Instant processing for immediate credit availability
- • Receipts emailed automatically
- • Can use different payment method than subscription
Prorated Billing
When upgrading mid-cycle, you're only charged for the remaining time in your billing period at the new rate. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we'll retry automatically and notify you. Update your payment method to restore service.
- • Automatic retry after 3 days
- • Second retry after 7 days
- • Final retry after 14 days
- • Subscription suspended if all retries fail
- • Email notifications at each step
Best Practices
Keep Payment Info Current
Update expiring cards before they expire to avoid service interruptions. Enable email notifications for expiration reminders.
Add Backup Payment Method
Store a backup payment method in case your primary method fails. This ensures uninterrupted service and automatic fallback.
Use Digital Wallets
Apple Pay and Google Pay offer faster checkout and additional security. Your card details are never shared with merchants.
Monitor Billing Notifications
Review all billing emails to verify charges and catch any issues early. Emails include receipt details and links to invoices.
Use Business Cards for Teams
For Business and Enterprise plans, use company cards for cleaner accounting and simplified expense management.
Review Charge Descriptions
Charges appear as "WUBBLE.COM" on your statement. Keep this in mind for expense tracking and reconciliation.
