Sharing methods

Wubble offers multiple ways to share your projects depending on your collaboration needs.

  • Direct invitation: Invite specific people by email with customized permissions
  • Shareable link: Generate a link that can be shared with anyone
  • Team workspace: Share with your entire team automatically
  • Public link: Create a public link for anyone to access (view-only by default)
  • Password-protected link: Secure your share link with a password

Collaboration features

When you share a project, collaborators get access to powerful real-time collaboration features.

  • Real-time updates: See changes as they happen with live synchronization
  • Comments and feedback: Leave timestamped comments on specific sections
  • Version history: Track changes and restore previous versions
  • Presence indicators: See who else is viewing or editing the project
  • Activity log: View a complete history of all actions taken on the project
  • Notification system: Get notified when collaborators comment or make changes

Use cases for project sharing

Different scenarios require different sharing approaches and permission levels.

  • Client review: Share view-only access for client approval with comment permissions
  • Team collaboration: Give edit access to team members for co-creation
  • Feedback collection: Share with stakeholders for comment-only feedback
  • Portfolio showcase: Create public links to showcase your work
  • Outsourcing: Share with contractors with specific edit permissions
  • Teaching/mentoring: Share projects with students or mentees with appropriate access

Tips

  • Use "View + Comment" permissions for client review and feedback
  • Grant "Edit" permissions only to trusted team members
  • Enable "Require Login" for share links to track who accesses your projects
  • Set expiration dates for client reviews to automatically revoke access after approval
  • Use password protection when sharing via public channels like social media
  • Create separate share links for different audiences (clients vs. team vs. public)
  • Revoke access immediately if someone leaves your team or project
  • Use team workspaces for recurring collaborations to avoid repeated sharing

Notes

  • Free plans can share with up to 3 collaborators per project. Pro plans support up to 25 collaborators. Teams and Enterprise plans have unlimited collaborators.
  • Shared projects count toward the owner's storage quota, not the collaborators.
  • Collaborators need a Wubble account to edit projects, but can view and comment without an account.
  • You can always revoke access or change permissions from the Share Settings panel.
  • All activity in shared projects is logged and visible to the project owner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do collaborators need a Wubble account?

For view and comment access, no account is required. For edit access, collaborators must have a Wubble account (free or paid). They'll be prompted to create one if they don't have one.

Can I see what changes collaborators make?

Yes! The Activity Log shows all actions taken on the project, including who made changes, when, and what was modified. You can also view and restore previous versions from the Version History.

How do I stop someone from accessing my project?

Open the project, click "Share", then click the "X" next to the person's name in the collaborator list. Their access will be revoked immediately. For share links, you can disable or regenerate the link.

Can collaborators export the project?

By default, only the project owner can export. However, you can grant "Export Permission" to specific collaborators in the Share Settings. This is useful when working with mixing engineers or mastering specialists.

What happens if two people edit the same section simultaneously?

Wubble handles simultaneous edits gracefully. The most recent save is preserved, and you'll see a notification if your changes conflict with someone else's. You can always view and restore previous versions.

Can I share multiple projects at once?

Yes! From your Projects page, select multiple projects, then click "Share Selected". You can add collaborators or generate links for all selected projects with the same permissions.
