- 1.Navigate to Settings > Teams and select your team
- 2.Click on the "Members" tab
- 3.Find the member you want to make the new Owner
- 4.Click the three-dot menu next to their name
- 5.Select "Transfer Ownership" from the menu
- 6.Review the transfer warning - this action gives them complete control including billing access
- 7.Confirm you understand that billing responsibility transfers to the new Owner
- 8.Type the team name to confirm the ownership transfer
- 9.Click "Transfer Ownership" to complete the process
- 10.The new Owner immediately gains full control over all team functions
- 11.You automatically become an Admin and can remain on the team or leave
If you need to change who owns the team, you can transfer ownership to another team member. This action transfers billing responsibility, full administrative control, and the ability to delete the team. Only the current Owner can perform this action.
